How we handle customer data and personal information (PI) is extremely important as this information is confidential and legally can be very sensitive.
The most important thing to remember is that you can only pass on customer data when there is a business need to do so. This means that if you need to pass on an e-mail address to tech to resolve an issue, or to marketing to look into their account, you can do so.
If PI Data is passed on via Slack you must delete the message once the recipient has the info, if this is on a google sheet or online doc you need to redact the data or delete the document once done with. In addition to this, you should also regularly delete any sensitive info from your laptop and customer info should not be anywhere on your laptop for any longer than necessary.
This setting should help you to keep your laptop clear by regularly deleting certain folders. Just follow the steps below:
Head to Settings > System > Storage.
Turn on Storage Sense & click “Configure Storage Sense or run it now”
Select how often you want to run Storage Sense (Ideally weekly or monthly)
Then select the timeframes for when you want to delete temporary files, such as downloads and recycle bin files
